The HP Photosmart C4683 color inkjet multifunction printer has a USB connector but no ethernet slot or media card. A single input tray is up to 80 sheets. Does not have an output tray: Prints or copies only fall on top of the input stack up to a maximum of 15 sheets, according to HP. The input tray panel opens awkwardly and is a bit noisy. HP says it’s normal, but I think it makes the unit feel bad. Manual duplexing is available with instructions on the screen from the printer driver. The output quality of the Photosmart C4683 is better than speed. The text of the plain black looks clear. Color photographs show the level of transverse lines and spots are small but on the contrary vary from the color of the strokes strokes to the contour of the precision and shadow on inanimate objects. The results of the scan show the detail sharp and the colors are a little dark. In our tests, using the default mode of the printer (“normal”), the machine can only manage a 7.4 pages per minute (ppm) print text black and 2.3 ppm printing the chart below the average of other inkjet MFP we tested, and much of the claims HP 29 ppm using just black ink and 23 ppm using the fourth color.
